The smallest of these three SUVs, the GLA can handle road trips as easily as it can handle tight downtown parking. It comes with a standard Hybrid Starter-Generator, an innovative mechanism which creates bursts of energy, adding up to 13 extra horsepower without using gasoline. This gives the GLA a quick response time and exciting handling. Inside, this SUV is decked out in technology to make daily life easier, from dual 10.25-inch displays to a virtual voice assistant. The front seats come standard with three-position memory, so you can quickly get comfortable every time you take the wheel.
The GLB offers more space for cargo and passengers than the GLA. It can be purchased with seating for either five or seven people, so you can choose the capacity that best fits your needs. While the GLB comes with many of the same luxurious standard features as the previous model, there are some standout upgrades that come with the GLB, including heated front seats and a second-row center armrest with dual cupholders.
The GLC has most of the previous models’ standard features, plus a variety of upgrades. It is the largest of the three SUVs in terms of overall length, and it’s also the most powerful, offering 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque (as compared to 221 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque in the GLA and GLB). The GLC comes with a 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission for smooth and speedy gear changes. This model has a standard 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a standard 11.9-inch touchscreen central multimedia display. You can even use the built-in fingerprint reader to identify yourself and let the system know which of the seven available user profiles to use.
